THERMAL TRANSFER INK SHEET

PURPOSE:To eliminate color overlapping defect by setting the coefficient of dynamic friction between the surface of two different inks to 0.70 or more. CONSTITUTION:If a coefficient of dynamic friction between the surfaces of two different inks is extremely low on color thermal transfer ink sheet with more than two different color thermal melting ink layers formed on the same surface of a base material, the ink transferred slips from a yellow position of the surface of an ordinary-type paper when such a transfer is made to the surface of the transferred yellow. This results in faulty color overlapping. In the meantime, when the coefficient of dynamic friction is more then 0.70, the slippage hardly occurs if the mechanical frictional resistance between the surface of yellow ink on an ordinary-type paper and the surface of magenta or cyan ink on a thermal transfer ink sheet is large. Thus faulty color overlapping does not occurs and therefore, a sharp color image can be obtained.
