PURPOSE:To detect accurately various information of a film, by providing a recording material, where information concerning the film which can be read in the camera side is recorded, on the side end face of the film. CONSTITUTION:A conductor 21 having a length l corresponding to the sensitivity of a film 6 is provided on a side end face 6a of the film 6 for every one picture part 13. In the side of a camera 10, the first pulse generator which generates one pulse during short-circuit due to the conductor 21 is provided, and the second pulse generator which generates pulses at constant intervals during the film winding operation is provided, and the number of the second pulses during the first pulse are counted by a counter 18, and this counted value is stored in a storage circuit 19. An exposure controlling circuit 20 in the side of the camera 10 is operated by the output from the storage circuit 19 to set a proper exposure. A reset signal is outputted from the exposure controlling circuit 20 at the end of every phtography, and the counter 18 and the storage circuit 19 are reset by this signal. |
