PURPOSE:To perform successive cutting of a special groove which can not be formed through die tension of wire and press rolling with tools without damaging wire material by contriving the shape of the tools. CONSTITUTION:A pair of tools 10, 10' are arranged at their opposite positions, and supported with a fixing holder. One or more grooving edges 11 which become rotationally symmetric with respect to a center axis of a wire material (A) are formed saliently forward at the tip part of each tool. Each edge 11 is made symmetrically on the left and right sides with respect to the center line C of a rake face 12, the center line C of the rake face 12 and the center axis O of the wire material (A) are located on the same plane, and this plane vertically crosses the rake face 12. The number of the edges 11 are determined according to the required number of grooves. |
