PURPOSE:To obtain a long-lived photoreceptor having characteristics hardly deteriorated by irradiation of UV rays, by adding a specified carbazole deriv. to a carrier transfer layer, and a specified triazole deriv. to the currier transfer layer and/or a carrier generating layer. CONSTITUTION:A carrier transfer layer contains a UV absorber represented by formulaIin which R1 is OH or alkyl, alkoxy, or amino each optionally substd. by CH3, OCH3, or the like; R2 is H, halogen, OH, or alkyl, alkoxy, or amino, each optionally substd. by methyl, ethoxy, or the like; and R3 is aryl or heterocyclic each optionally substd. This layer or a carrier generating layer contains as a UV absorber a triazole deriv. having formula II in which R4 is H, halogen NO2, or alkyl or aryl, each optionally substd., and R5, R6 are each H or alkyl or aryl, respectively optionally substd. by methyl, tertiary butyl, or the like. The carrier transfer layer contains the benzotriazole deriv. by 0.1- 20wt% of the carbazole deriv., and consequently, a photoreceptor high in photosensitivity, low in deterioration of characteristics due to UV irradiation, and high in durability can be obtained. |
