PURPOSE:To record data for one page's share on one sheet of recording paper, by storing transmitted data for one page's share once, and selecting the recording paper capable of accommodating the amount of data, in one page. CONSTITUTION:When reception data starts to be inputted to an input terminal 1, a data transmission start signal is detected at a detection circuit 3, and a line synchronizing signal is outputted to a line counter 4. Thus, NAND gates 2a1, 2a2... are sequentially turn on and the reception data are sequentially recorded in the line memories 5a1, 5a2... of a data memory 5. A counter and decoder 8 receives signals from the counter 4 and outputs a 1-page size signal. The output of the decoder 8 drives a motor 10a1 or 10a2 to carry the recording paper of A4 or A3 size, for example, from a paper tray 12a1 or 12a2. The recording paper in response to the amount of data to be transmitted is carried from the tray 12a1 or 12a2, then the data are transmitted from the memory 5 one after another to a thermal head and the recording paper transmitted is recorded. |
