The mechanism is intended for sorting longitudinal or round agricultural or horticultural products according to size. It comprises two or more grading units arranged in series which are each provided with spaced (3) supports (2) for the products and a conveyor (4) to discharge and collect (5) the products remaining on the support. The products passing through the spaces are transferred to the next grading unit with more closely spaced (3', 3" etc) supports etc. until the remaining smallest products passed through the smallest openings (3") are collected (10) at the end of the line. The supports (2) may consist of inclined spaced rotating rollers.
