PURPOSE:To obtain the light emitting diode lamp which has extensive general purpose applications, by providing the same outer configuration as that of an ordinary small electric lamp, and making it possible to use said diode lamp by attaching it to the receptacle for the small electric lamp. CONSTITUTION:In the light emitting diode lamp, substrates 1 and 2 are linked by linking pieces 3. Under this state, two light emitting diode elements 4 and 4 are attached on a base 2a and connected by lead wires 5 and 5. A unitary body is formed by a light transmitting resin 6, with the lower side parts of lead pieces 1a and 1b being left. Then the linking pieces 3 are cut at a broken line H and lamp units L are formed. A resistor 7 is connected to a lead piece 2b of the central substrate 2. A part of a contactor 8, which is connected to the other end of the resistor 7 and a part of each of protruded parts 1c and 1c of the lead pieces 1b and 1b are protruded to the outside. Under this state the lower part is molded by a resin 9, and fixed to the lower surface of said lamp unit L. In this way, a screw thread 9b, which can be screwed into a commercially sold Edison type electric lamp receptacle, is formed at the approximately intermediate part of the outer wall of the resin 9. Thus the diode lamp is constituted just like the ordinary Edison type electric lamp without any substantial difference. |
