PURPOSE:To compensate a drop in fuel pressure for reducing fluctuations of pressure generated upon fuel injection in a fuel passage, by providing a pressure chamber between a high pressure accumulator and a fuel injection valve. CONSTITUTION:A pressure compensated device 1 comprises a casing 31, pistons 19, 20 and a spring 21. There is provided in the casing 31, a pressure chamber 17 which communicates to a high pressure accumulating chamber 5 through a high pressure fuel conduit 12 and also communicates to an electronically controlled fuel injection valve 6 through a high pressure fuel conduit 13. Pressure drop is brought about upon the initiation of fuel injection, but pressure fluctuation in this condition is reduced just after the occurrence of the pressure drop due to the volume elasticity of fuel in the pressure chamber 17. Further, the pressure drop in the pressure chamber 17 is compensated due to reduction in the volume of a pressure chamber 18. |
