PURPOSE:To obtain the humidifier which is cheap and which is easy of manufacture by a method wherein water is made to be absorbed in a humidifying element having an air flow passage formed by flat and corrugated plates made of water adsorbing and absorbing activated carbon fiber paper and laid one above another in an alternative fashion and air is circulated through the element. CONSTITUTION:A blower 32 is provided in an air duct 36 having an air sucking port 37 and an air blowout port 38 and the flat plates 31a and the corrugated plates 31b which are made of the water absorbing paper are laid one above another in an alternative fashion to thereby form the humidifying element 31. Next, water is supplied through the humidifying element 31 by means of a water tank 33, water pipes 34a-34c and a pump 35. Further, the above mentioned paper material of which the flat and corrugated plates are made consists of a mixture of activated carbon fibers and bonding fibers (c.f., cellulose fibers) with the content of the carbon fibers being 10-70% by weight. As a result, the surface area of water evaporation of the humidifying element becomes large so that the humidifier can be miniaturized and since the humidifier is made of the activated carbon fiber paper, almost no mold or the like generates thereon. |
