1-(p-Fluorobenzyl) 2-((1-(p-methoxyphenethyl) -4-piperidyl) amino)-benzimidazol prepn. comprises reaction of the dihydro-bromide of 1-(p-fluorobenzyl) -2-(4-piperidylamino) benzimidazole with 1-chloro-2-(4-methoxyphenyl) ethane in an aprotic solvent, esp. DMF, dimethylacetamide, DMSO, etc. at 50-100 deg.C. On completion water is added and the prod. extracted by an immiscible solvent, esp. chloroform or 1,2-dichloroethane. - It has an antihistamine property.
