<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a resilient sheet that is excellent in tensile strength, tear strength, etc., is good in touch, and has beautiful appearance and no orientation of the fibers, by kneading a thermoplastic composition and a short fiber material, and extruding and rolling the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A short fiber material 1 such as carpet waste, or the like is heated and kneaded together with a thermoplastic material such as unvulcanized rubber powder, asphalt, or the like in a kneader 4 such as Burberry mixer, and while the mixture is continuously extruded from an extruder 5 it is cut into the shape of a block. These materials 6 in the shape of a block are successively delivered in a direction normal to the longitudinal direction of the short fibers 3 by a conveyor 7, are continuously rolled primarily by pressure rollers 8 for first cooling, and then are secondary rolled by pressure rollers 10 for second cooling into a prescribed thickness to obtain the intended sheet, which is then taken up onto a winding roll 13.</p> |
