PURPOSE:To prevent deflection of a shaft by making the drive shaft for feed rollers with approx. a half of the length in conventional arrangement and thereby increasing the stiffness. CONSTITUTION:In a sheets feeding device equipped with a feed roller 31, which is arranged approx. in the central part of the sheet passage viewed in its width direction and put in contact with the sheet, and a drive shaft 25, which rotates the roller 31 in the direction of sheet feeding, the ends of said drive shaft 25 are supported rotatably by No.1 bearing arranged at one of the sides of the sheet passage 11 and No.2 bearing arranged in the neighborhood of the feed roller 31. Accordingly, the drive shaft 25 for the feed roller 31 is extending only from one of the side edges of the passage 11 to its central part, so that the substantial stiffness of the shaft is increased and the bending moment applied to the shaft becomes also small. Thus the stiffness has increased even though the drive shaft has the same diameter as conventional drive shaft, and deflection of the shaft can be perfectly prevented. |
