PURPOSE:To prevent an occurrence of an unexpected accident by providing in a cable puller device a slip detecting gripper for detecting slip of the gripper to the cable and a safety device for detecting the slip of cable to fix the cable. CONSTITUTION:When a wire rope 2 slips to a gripper 31 by any unexpected causes under the condition of detectable slip, a detecting gripper 40 descends together with the wire rope 2 against a force of a spring 43 by a spring 3 force from the back and a frictional force between the wire rope 2 and the detecting gripper 40. A movable lower end 44 bears against a right end of a trigger 60 so that the trigger 60 pivots about a pin 59 and the left end of the trigger 60 pushes up a movable collared piece 61. Further the trigger 60 pushes up an operating roller 63 in a hydraulic change-over valve 62 fixed to a parallel plate 64 to release a spring carrier 14 of a safety gripper 11. The gripper 11 instantly grips the wire rope 2 and simultaneously oil pressure in the hydraulic change- over valve 62 enters hydraulic cylinders 24, 34 to operate grippers 21, 31 for gripping the wire rope 2. |
