PURPOSE:To simplify and ensure the welding between a metal collector body and a plate end edge by protruding the edge of the specified plate in the vertical direction of an electrode body, loading a metal collector body made of a corrugated iron sheet on the edge, and fixing them with a pair of welding electrode through electric welding. CONSTITUTION:An edge 8 is a section that is protruded from an anode plate 6 and an electrode substrate that is not filled with an active material. The perforated protrusion 3 of a metal collector body 9 is welded on the edge 8. For this welding, a pair of welding electrodes are made to touch the perforated protrusion 3 that is the recessed part of a metal corrugated iron sheet 1 and deposited on the edge by resistance welding under a constant assigned pressure. In the same way as this, the metal collector body is also welded on the other (downward) edge. In case of an electrode body thus obtained, an introduction terminal section is welded on a container or a cover. In this case, the introduction section 4 is bent inward and is set in status (B) from (A) and then is welded. |
