The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the copier light quantities controlled individually in the individual colours in colour copying, the documents being scanned photoelectrically area by area, separately in the individual colours, and, in order to prevent so-called colour dominance in the neutral grey correction of adjacent areas having approximately the same colour, only one of these measured values is in each case used for the determination of the copier light quantity.
