PURPOSE:To attain a facsimile device which can automatically select a opposing transmission and a multiple address transmission, by providing a transmission type discriminating means discriminating whether an inputted number is the opposing transmission or the multiple address transmission. CONSTITUTION:The facsimile device 3 has a group number storage section 7 storing a group number being a call number for the multiple address facsimile transmission. In case of the transmission, a call number corresponding to the opposing transmission or the multiple address transmission and address terminals (6A-6N) is dialed from a terminal telephone set 4. The dial pulse is applied to a dial pulse number detection section 8 through a line connection section 12, and a dial number retrieval section 9 and the group number storage section 7 detect whether or not the said call number is the group number. Thus, a transmission control section 10 detects whether the transmission to be done is the opposing facsimile transmission or the multiple address transmission, and selects the type of transmission at a signal selecting device 5 automatically. |
