PURPOSE:To make the position adjustment of reading elements easy, by arranging each reading element focusing respective images in the area of two lenses placed left and right sides in the sub-scanning direction, to the position focusing respective images in the area of inverted left and right sides and decreasing the lens intervals. CONSTITUTION:The two lenses 2a, 2b are arranged toward the sub-scanning direction of a line 1a to be read. The reading elements 3a, 3b are placed on the image focusing plane of the lenses 2a, 2b. The lens 2a focuses the image of the left region L-S of the line 1a on the reading element 3a. The lens 2b focuses the image of the left region R-S of the line 1a on the reading element 3b. Thus, the lenses 2a, 2b are placed closely and the interval between the element 3a, 3b is taken larger than that between the lenses, allowing to make the adjustment of position easy. |
