PURPOSE:To control the surface temp. of ingots with good follow-up to the fluctuations in the drawing temp., etc. in the stage of continuous casting by correcting the average value of the surface temp. in the drawing direction calculated with an arithmetic device by taking the deviation from actually measured values into consideration, and corecting the surface temp. by using the corrected temp. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic control device 14 receives the actually measured analog signals from the temp. sensors provided in the roll parts right under a casting mold 3, the flowmeters 12 provided in each of spray stages, and a rotating speed meter 13 provided to an arbitrary roll. The actually measured signals are converted to digital signals, from which the surface temp. right under the casting mold, the flow rate of the cooling water in each cooling part and the drawing speed of an ingot 4 are obtained. The device 14 calculates the surface temp. distributions of the ingot in the drawing direction in accordance with the actually measured data. Also, the device 14 calculates the arithmetic mean value Tm of the min. temp. Tc in the cooling parts and the max. temp. TH in the recuperating parts in each of the spray stages in accordance with the results of the above-mentioned calculations. Further, the device 14 receives the temp. T0 in the recuperating part from each sensor 11 and calculates the differential DT of both by using the value T of the surface temp. of the ingot corresponding to the positions where the sensors 11 are installed by the above-mentioned techniques and calculates T* by using the results of both calculations. |
