PURPOSE:To obtain a gelatinized material having increased rate of gelan gum used to a medium, by gelatinizing the gelan gum using an aqueous solution of glycerol as the medium. CONSTITUTION:Gelan gum is added to aqueous glycerol in <=80% concentration, preferably aqueous solution in about 80-30% glycerol concentration and the resultant blend is heated and formed to give a sol, which is directly cooled. |
