PURPOSE:To protect a secret from leakage, by writing a symbol for showing the right of ownership or copyright on a disk, and clearing the contents of the storage device of a computer and stopping succeeding processing, unless a user performs correctly the process permitted to use. CONSTITUTION:In the directory DIR of a recording medium, ''contents to be displayed'' for making the right of ownership or copyright clear are written and before the execution of a user program, said ''contents to be displayed'' are decoded to calculate a checking number. Then, this checking number is compared with a preset checking number. When they do not coincide with each other, the storage device of the computer is cleared and succeeding processing is stopped. |
