The centrifugal pump has two contrarotating pump sections (I, II). In the casing (1) there runs a flow connection (35) between an annular chamber (34) of the outlet stage (6) of the first pump section (I) and an annular chamber (36) of the second pump section (II). The annular chambers (34, 36) are delimited by the perimeter (2') of the inner block (2) and the inner wall (1') of the casing (1). Owing to this design, the inner block (2) has a small diameter and is of simple construction. <IMAGE>
