PURPOSE:To reduce the printing-out and to improve the shelf stability by forming a heat developable photosensitive layer contg. a specified org. silver salt, photosensitive silver halide and/or a component forming a photosensitive silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder on a support by application. CONSTITUTION:A composition consisting of (A) 1mol org. silver salt represented by the formula[where R<1> is nitro; each of R<2> and R<3> is halogen, hydroxy, sulfo (salt), carboxy (salt), nitro or the like; m is 0-2; and (n) is 0-1, (B) 0.001- 1.0mol photosensitive silver halide contg. iodine ions by >=15mol% of the total amount of the halide and/or component forming a photosensitive silver salt, (C) 0.05-10mol reducing agent such as hydroquinone and (D) a binder is dissolved in a suitable solvent and adjusted to 2-7pH and 4-10.5pAg to prepare a coating soln. The soln. is applied to a support so that the component A is contained by 0.05-10.0g/m<2>, and by drying it, a heat developable photosensitive layer having 1-1,000mum thickness is formed. |
