Lance for taking metal immersion samples for examination by spectral analysis

The immersion mould arranged in the lance end section being immersed in the metal melt is located in an inert gas atmosphere, so that the immersion sample taken is essentially free of scale after solidification. For this purpose, it can be located in a gas-tight insert which is purged with inert gas and sealed after installation of the immersion mould.
