A shelf assembly comprises a plastic-coated wire grid shelf (12), the rear of which is attached to a wall. The front of the shelf is supported by a unitary elongated stay, one end (32) of which is adapted for attachment to the wall upon which the shelving arrangement is mounted, and the other end of which is adapted to interlock the shelf for secure and stable support thereof.
