The title polymers were prepd. by polymn. in stirred aq. suspensions with simultaneous high-velocity shear to conversion<=50%, and completing polymn. without the shear. Thus, styrene 67.2, 60% divinylbenzene 17.2, BZ2O2 0.52, tri-Ca phosphate 2.34, C12H25C6H4SO3Na 0.0126, and H2O 420 g were stirred at 70-5≦̸C with shear at 1.3×106 /min for 2hr to 30% conversion and then stirred at 500-600 rpm at 80-5≦̸C without shear for 4 hr to give copolymer beads with particle size 1-5μ 22, 5-15μ 54, 15-25μ 21, and 25-35μ 3%.
