PURPOSE:To ensure safe running on a frozen road surface by making a side slip preventive claw provided on the inner frame of a tire chain device automatically bite in the frozen road surface to prevent a side slip when a car is running on the frozen road surface, etc. CONSTITUTION:Outer frames A made of wire ropes and formed in an annular shape by coupling a metal piece provided with a U-shaped groove 1 on one end with another metal piece provided with a push-in protruded button 2 on the other end are fitted to both side faces of a tire D, and inner frames B are fitted by using the outer frames A. A biting claw 5 biting in the snow surface is provided in one body with the inner frame B and is fitted to the outer frame A by means of a binding metal H. A side slip preventive claw 7 provided with a plate spring 8 brought into an elastic contact with the tire D is fitted to the inner frame B, and the preventive claw 7 is made movable up and down by means of an expansion spring E. According to this constitution, in case a side slip occurs while running on a frozen road surface, the side slip preventive claw 7 bites in the frozen road surface, thus the side slip can be prevented effectively. |
