PURPOSE:To positively bring ink into a momentary stop, by installing a path connected to the air and a path to the inside of ink from a spot in the proximity of a nozzle of a path connecting together a liquid chamber and the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet head 12 connects together a liquid chamber 14 having an ink introduction port 13 and a nozzle 15 for jetting ink, and is provided with two paths 16 and 17, leading to the outside, in the proximity of the nozzle of said connection path. A piezo-electric vibrator 18, adhered to a vibrating plate 19, provides vibration for bringing ink into drop, the one path 16 connected to a spot in the proximity of the nozzle is coupled to an ink collecting tube of a gutter 10 through an electromagnetic vale 21, and the other path 17 communicates to the inside of ink in an ink tank 1 through an electromagnetic valve 22. This enables to perform a positive momentary stop of an ink jet motion, permits the prevention of the mixture of air bubbles thereinto, allows the elimination of a waiting time after starting an injection, and permits immediate start of the printing motion. |
