PURPOSE:To uniformly apply a proper amount of the developing agent and at the same time, give a tribocharging to the brush of a developing roller, so that good developed pictures can be obtained, by contacting a mesh of a network with the brush. CONSTITUTION:A developing roller 3 is composed of a conductive roll 4 and a brush 5 which is manufactured by flocking short fibers in the peripheral surface of the roll 4, and a mesh of 10-500 mesh 10 manufactured by weaving a network with fibers is contacted with the brush 5. The brush 5 contacts with the mesh 10 at a location A where the fibers are disturbed in such a way that some of them are laid down and the reset are raised up, and thus, the remaining developing agent is uniformly distributed. Then the roller 3 is fed with the developing agent at the next location C by a feeding member 9 and the amount of the developing agent is adjusted by the disturbance of the brush fiber and the developing agent is uniformly applied and at the same time, a tribocharging is performed. At a location B, an excess amount of developing agent is sifted out. Therefore, the developing agent is uniformly applied on the brush 5 for a proper amount and a good picture is obtained together with tribocharging. |
