A wall of a box body of a lorry is closed in the lower region by means of a stable folding wall and in the upper region by means of a tarpaulin. The tarpaulin is wound at the top onto a roller which is rotatably mounted on the inside next to a roof-side bolt and is equipped with a spring retracting mechanism so that when it is released the tarpaulin is automatically drawn upwards when opening. When closing, the tarpaulin is drawn downwards until it adjoins the folding wall. The lower edge of the tarpaulin is equipped with a rod whose protruding ends are hooked onto pillar-side hooks.
