PURPOSE:To smoothly start and stop a moving member, by combining a planet gear mechanism with a crank mechanism which performs nonuniform motion. CONSTITUTION:As a driving gear 1 rotates at a constant angular velocity in a direction shown by an arrow in the drawing, a rocking arm 10 is swung depending on the turn angle theta of an engaging member 9. At that time, a planet gear rotates depending on the rotation of the driving gear 1 so that a moving member 5 engaged with the gear is moved forward while the moving member is gradually accelerated. When the turn angle theta of the engaging member 9 has reached pi, the velocity of the moving member 5 is Vmax. After the turn angle theta has reached pi, the moving member 5 is gradually decelerated. When the turn angle theta has reached 2pi (one round of rotation), the moving member 5 is smoothly stopped. The moving member 5 is returned to the original position through the opposite route by causing the driving gear 1 to rotate backward by one round. The arm 10 starts rocking about a point O depending on the change in the turn angle theta. |
