The appts. for removing calyxed from fruits comprises a water tank(2) with inclined parallel rollers(5) which rotate alternately in opposite directions. The rollers, each of which consists of a hard core shaft surrounded by an elastic material such as soft polyurethane or rubber foam, are at least partly submerged in the water of the tank. Each pair of the rollers in pressed against each other and driven by a driving means(45,46) so as to rotate in opposite directions such that their surfaces in contact move upward.
