<p>PURPOSE:To correct and control rolling schedules in on-line and to obtain stable quality by measuring the rolling load during rolling, determining deformation resistance, measuring structure factors, and predicting the particle sizes of ferrite and the transformation rate at the end of rolling in accordance with the results thereof. CONSTITUTION:Rolling load, the number of revolutions of rolls, and inter-pass time are measured and average deformation resistance kmobs is determined, according to which an average temp. T of a steel plate is predicted and operated. In passes at >=950 deg.C rolling temp., standard deformation resistance kmo is determined by the equationI(epsilon: logarithmic strain, epsilon : strain rate, a0-a3; constants), and the grain sizes dgamma of austenite at said passes are determined by the equation II (d0, a4: constants). The above-described stage is repeated until the rolling temp. attains <=950 deg.C until the final dgamma attains the ultimate grain size dgamma. In the respective passes at 95 deg.C-Ar3 point, km0 is determined by the above-described processes. Further, the accumulated strain DELTAepsilon of the corresponding pass is determined by the km1 of the equation III, and the temp., DELTAepsilon of the next and succeeding passes is calculated. The time until the transformation is attained after the end of the pass just before the point Ar3 and the DELTAepsilont of DELTAepsilon just before the trasformation are calculated and predicted, and the grain size dalpha of ferrite is predicted by the equation V (C0-C2: constants).</p> |
