PURPOSE:To set accurately the reproduction restarting position at the track groove of a pickup stylus after release of a pause mode and at the reproducing position set right before the pause mode, by actuating a track jumping device when the pause mode is released and setting the pickup stylus at the proper reproducing position on a disk. CONSTITUTION:For a pulse generator 20, an electromagnetic coil 21A of a track jumping device 21 is energized based on a comparison output signal to compensate the tracing position of a pickup stylus 3 to a recording track. Thus the stylus 3 is always coincident with the tracing position set right before a pause mode. In other words, the generator 20 flows a current to the coil 21A so as to move forward the stylus 3 for compensation by means of an output signal with which the comparison output of a comparator 16 is discordant with the adverse direction as well as to move backward and stylus 3 for compensation by means of an output signal with which the comparison output of the comparator 16 is discordant with the forward direction. |
