ELECTROLYZING METHOD FOR AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF ALKALI METALLIC SALT

PURPOSE:To drop the electrolytic voltage in the electrolysis of an aqueous soln. of an alkali metallic salt by an ion exchange membrane method by adding a fixed amount of specified metallic ions to the soln. CONSTITUTION:In the electrolysis of an aqueous soln. of an alkali metallic salt by an ion exchange membrane method, 0.1-10mg/l Fe and Ni ions are added to the soln. The added components are allowed to exist in the soln. in the anode chamber in a dissolved state. By removing Ca from the soln. beforehand in this electrolytic method, the electrolytic voltage can be dropped in the presence of Fe and Ni ions.
