PURPOSE:To improve the hitting rate of end point temp. markedly by measuring the temp. of molten steel with an optical fiber high temp. measuring device which is thermally protected at one end and is connected at the other end with an optical thermometer and adjusting the charging rate of coolant, the flow rate of O2 and a blowing time. CONSTITUTION:An optical transmission means is constituted of a photodetector 2 which transmits the light incident thereto at a slight rate of attenuation, and a glass fiber 3 which transmits the detected light, and one end thereof is protected against heat with a water cooling pipe 4 and a heat insulating sleeve 5, and the other end is connected to an optical thermometer 6. The preceding end part of the optical fiber high temp. measuring device constituted in such a way is brought down near the surface of the molten steel under blowing in a converter, and a gas 10 is injected through an air purging hole 9b, then the temp. of the molten steel is measured. The temp. measuring signal measured with the thermometer 6 is inputted to a computer which adjusts the charging rate of coolant, the flow rate of O2 and/or blowing time according to the elevating rate of the measured temp. of the molten steel. |
