PURPOSE:To enable a highly accurate detection of rotation phase by providing a rotation phase detector with a normalization circuit for outputting a phase signal by normalizing of a pulse signal from a phase signal generator in a VTR or the like synchronizing a frequency signal from a frequency signal generator. CONSTITUTION:A signal magnetic field with an FG magnet 480 magnetized at a fixed pitch lambda0 is detected with a Hall element 510 and an FG pulse FGP and a PG pulse PGRS obtained from waveform shaping circuits 600 and 700. The PG pulse PGRS is nomalized synchronizing the FG pulse FGP to output an RF switching pulse RFSW from a pulse generator 800. The FG magnet 480 generates a frequency signal magnetic field of the repeated frequency equal to the magnetizing pitch lambda0 while a phase signal magnetic field by applying a locally strong magnetization to magnetizing sections N and S for forming a track of the signal. Thus, this normalization with the FG pulse FGP to create the PG pulse PGRS from the PG pulse PGRS provides a highly accurate RF switching pulse RFSW following the accuracy of the PG pulses PGRS. |
