PURPOSE:To ensure an assured editing operation even with a video tape having the uneven linearity of a recording track, by recording a new information signal to each recording track in a recording section while giving a tracking control based on an interpolation data. CONSTITUTION:The video signal which is digitized by an A/D converter 22 is converted into a double channel signal by an interface circuit 23 and supplied to magnetic heads 14A and 14B through recording circuits 24A and 24B respectively of each channel to be recorded to a magnetic tape in a digital form. The reproduced digital signal of each channel obtained through the heads 14A and 14B is supplied to synchronous separating circuits 51A and 51B of each channel through reproduction amplifiers 41A and 41B respectively. Te simultaneous recording/reproducing is carried out for the double channel digital signal by a rotary magnetic head device 12 containing the heads 14A and 14B of different azimuth angles. Therefore a phase difference is produced between reproduced digital signals of two channels if a tracking error arises to the track which is traced by the heads 14A and 14B in a reproduction mode. |
