PURPOSE:To increase the frictional charge quantity to make the toner distribution uniform by the agitating effect due to the oscillation, by giving the ultrasonic energy to a toner layer applied onto a sleeve as a uniform thin layer. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 2 is supported rotatably in a developer vessel 3 a gap G apart from a photoreceptor 1, and a magnet roll 4 is fixed into the sleeve 2. A controlling member 5 controls a toner 6 (magnetic toner) supplied onto the sleeve 2 to a uniform thin layer. An ultrasonic wave generator 7 radiates the ultrasonic energy to a toner layer 60 which is carried to the position facing the photoreceptor 1. The toner is oscillated by this ultrasonic energy, and the agitating energy is given by this oscillation to relax the hysteresis. The toner distribution on the sleeve 2 is made uniform by the toner agitating effect. |
