发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING DENSITY AND FLOW RATE OF PULVERULENT AND GRANULAR BODY FLOW
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the density and flow rate of a pulverulent and granular body flow without having no effect on the pulverulent and granular body flow at all, by a method wherein the density is measured at two positions different from each other in the moving (transfer) direction of the pulverulent and granular bodies, and a flow velocity is obtained from the interrelation between the two density measurement results, and then, a flow rate is obtained from the product of the density and the flow velocity. CONSTITUTION:The microwave (0.1-30GHz) oscillated by a microwave oscillator 30 is transmitted to probes 11, 21 through an attenuator 31 and directional couplers 12, 22. The signals representative of the microwaves reflected from open ends are branched and propagated to detectors 13, 23. Linearizers 14, 24 linearize the outputs of the respective detectors 13, 23. The outputs of the linearizers 14, 24 are fed into a correlation device 33 and further fed, as data representing the density of the pulverized coal flow, into a recorder 34 and a display 35, and are furthermore fed into a multiplier 36. Since a flow rate V is obtained as the multiplier output, a density rho and the flow rate V are recorded and displayed onthe recorder 34 and the display 35. In addition, the pulverized coal flow rate is controlled by means of the output to a flow rate control system 38.
