PURPOSE:To produce a roll for production of high silicon thin steel strips which prevents the seizure of roll surfaces in the stage of rolling by forming a specific coating layer on the roll surface. CONSTITUTION:In a roll for production of high silicon thin steel strips having a coating layer contg. Ni or Ni alloy plating, the coating layer is 10-100mu thickness and consists of Ni alloy plating contg. one element selected among B, P, W, Cr, Ti, Al. In the 2nd invention, the coating layer of said roll is formed of the 1st layer consisting of Ni plating and the 2nd layer of 10-100mu thickness consisting of Ni alloy plating contg. one element selected among B, P, W, Cr, Ti, Al. In the 3rd invention, the coating layer of the same roll is formed of the 1st layer consisting of Ni plating and the 2nd layer consisting of a melt-sprayed layer of 10-200mu thickness of any one compsn. selected among ceramics, metallic carbides and metallic nitrides. |
