PURPOSE:To shorten processing time and to decide on a picture accurately, by dispersing optical readout blocks for a picture uniformly over the entire original and taking a readout of picture density for a picture decision efficiently. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric conversion part 21 converts a light-quantity signal S0 corresponding to an original picture into an electric picture signal Se, which is sampled by a sampling circuit 22. The output of this circuit 22 is inputted to shift registers 2a and 232 of an analog shift register 23 through the switching of a switch 233. The output of the register 23 is digitized by an A/D converter 24 and according to programs in a memory 26, arithmetic such as statistic operation and conversion of data is performed by a CPU25 to store the results in a memory 27. Respective circuits are brought under the control of a timing control part 28 and signal processing regarding only a specific block among blocks is carried out to shorten the processing time, deciding on pictures accurately. |
