VARIABLE COMBINATION CONTROLLING AND GUIDING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To obtain a titled apparatus that can adjust strength of combining force and responding speed by operating roll holders attached to both sides of a guide box directly contacting with them symmetrically by the piston rod of a twin cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Roll holders 2 provided with guide rolls 4 are supported pivotally to a guide box 1 by turning supporting points 5 and placed symmetrically on left and right of the guide box. A twin cylinder 23 is mounted at the center of the upper part of the guide box, and piston rods (not shown in the figure) are arranged symmetrically at right angles to the pass line P. The end faces of the piston rods are brought into direct contact with points of force P1, P2 provided on the roll holders 2. Distance of combination, strength of combining, responding speed etc. can be adjusted quickly and freely by flowing in and out the pressurized fluid from operating ports 234, 235 by the action of a tension spring 21.
