PURPOSE:To obtain a titled apparatus that can perform strong pushing of a material to be rolled by providing pinch rolls that pinch, drive and advance the material to be rolled and guides that prevent buckling of the material to be rolled and supplying coolant to the guides. CONSTITUTION:Pinch rolls 4, 5 and guides 2, 3 are provided in the housing 6 on the stand 7, and the pinch rolls 4, 5 are driven by a fluid pressure cylinder 8 or an electric motor and the material to be rolled 1 is pinched and pushed into a rolling mill which is small and having insufficient power to bite by itself such as work rolls 12, 13 of a multistages cluster mill 11. Following above-mentioned pinch rolls 4, 5, guides 2, 3 are provided to prevent occurrence of buckling even when pushing force is made larger. The distance between inner walls of the guides 2, 3 is made as small as possible. At the same time, roll coolant 9, 10 or air is spouted from numerous holes provided on the face of inner wall to prevent buckling by reducing contact resistance with the material to be rolled 1. |
