<p>The mechanism relieves a vehicle driving wheel of load, and is partic. for a low-loader of large capacity. The mechanism comprises a wheel frame, around which are roller bodies whose axes are inclined to that of the frame. The vehicle has at least two pairs of driving wheels, the roller bodies of the front pair running on a surface along lines which converge to the rear, while the rear pair run along lines converging to the front. To distribute the load, the relieving mechanism allows the vehicle to be moved in different directions by operating the driving wheels individually, dependent on the coefficient of friction between the roller bodies and the surface.</p> |
