PURPOSE:To perform one-shot image pickup operation by making storage and scanning quite different from the preceding scanning period through the operation of a switch means for switching from successive mode to one-shot image pickup or still mode. CONSTITUTION:The optical system of an image pickup device is provided with an aperture means AP, shutter means SHT, and image pickup element ID, and the ID is scanned by the output of a driver DR1. This driver DR1 is supplied with a reference periodic synchronizing signal from a synchronizing signal generating circuit SYNC or sequence control circuit SCTL. The image pickup device is provided with a still mode switch SW2 and an FF is set through the operation of the switch SW2 to generates an output Q, thereby driving the circuit DR1 by the output of a circuit CTCL instead of a synchronizing signal until a scan over one screen is completed. Then, the operation of a sample holding circuit SHC is stopped to drive a magnet Mg for the shutter means SHT and to perform the one-shot image pickup operation. |
