PURPOSE:To crush empty cans easily with direct stress and shearing stress and to improve the efficiency for recovering the empty cans by pressing and crushing the empty cans while twisting the same in a cylinder and recovering the same in a recovering box. CONSTITUTION:When an empty can 2 charged into an empty can recovering device is contained in a cylinder 1, a piston 7 advances to sandwich the can between the pistons 7 and 5, then the can 2 is pressed and crushed by the frictional forces of the contact surfaces of the can 2 and the pistons 5, 7, while receiving pulling and twisting by turning of the piston 7. In this stage, the piston 5 moves leftward as well to turn a bell crank 6 to deliver a coil which is the charge for the can 2 from a recovering device to the outside. Thereafter, a control device operates to supply working fluid to feed and discharge ports P2. The piston 7 retreats and the crushed can 2 is ejected by the backward motion of the piston 5. This can falls from the cylinder 1 into a discharge port 1b, and is contained in a recovering box 8 for empty cans. |
