PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation of facsimile transmission and to speed the transmission, by performing electrical facsimile transmission corresponding to polling on the basis of general or independent mode according to the kind of an originating side device. CONSTITUTION:The transmission part 1 of a facsimile equipment reads information on an original and the obtained information is sent out to a network controller 20 through a transmission and reception control part 17 and a total extraction part 19. Further, a call from an opposite side is detected by the extraction part 19 to actuate a processor 25 by an interface 24 and also to apply a received signal to the control part 17 through a modem 18, and data is restored and decoded by the copying circuit part 16 of a reception part 2. Further, data from the control part 17 is applied to a processor 25, which selects the general or independent mode according to programs 26-28 according to the kind of an originating machine side to perform transmission corresponding to polling, thus speeding the facsimile transmission. |
