PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a casing for a fluid machine, by attaching members used for the piping and installation of the fluid machine to the outside of an inner casing in tight contact therewith, and providing a reinforcing casing for reinforcing the inner casing. CONSTITUTION:Since a negative fluid pressure is acted to an inner casing 1, a material consisting mainly of concrete such as plastics concrete, having a proper rigidity and an adhesiveness to a reinforcing casing 7, for instance, is suited as the material for the inner casing 1. Although the inner peripheral portion of a suction port 2 tends to be ruptured by the negative pressure acted thereto, a compressive force is acted to the member surrounding the suction port 2 since the reinforcing casing 7 and a flange 13 are provided in contact with the suction port 2. Further, since pressure is acted to a volute portion 11, its side face and the inner peripheral surface of an outlet port 5, the inner casing 1 is also subjected to pressure but it is backed up by the reinforcing casing 7. |
