PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a position mark by mounting a plurality (n) of position detectors at a movable element side at a pitch (n+1)l/n and attaching position marks of the length l/n at the pitch at the stator side. CONSTITUTION:A position detecting mark MA is provided at a stator STA side of a linear synchronous motor at an electric angle of 360 deg. at the mounting pitch of mechanical length l with the length of the mark a=l/6. Six position detectors PS1-PS6 are provided at the mounting pitch s=7l/6 at a movable element TRA side. In this manner, the position detector of the movable element side increases, but the extending length of the position detecting mark at the stator side can be shortened. |
