PURPOSE:To improve fitting workability of the kicking plate and protect the seal outer surface in such a way that the section of kicking plate is formed in C-letter shape to cover the stepped part and the outer surface of the sill outer panel. CONSTITUTION:A kicking plate 3 is formed integrally with the outer surface covering part 33 in such a way that it is extended to cover the area from the step cover part 32 to the outer surface 16 of a sill outer panel 12. In order to fitting the kicking plate 3, the step cover part 32 is inserted from the outside of a sill 1 in such a way that said cover part 32 is somewhat expanded together with the outer surface covered part 33, a lower engaging part 33 is engaged with a lower flange 14, and an upper engaging part 34 is engaged with an upper flange 13 by bringing down the step cover part 32. In consequence, since the kicking plate is engaged with and inserted in the sill by repulsive force of the kicking plate itself, fitting operation is simplified, outer look becomes favorable, and the outer surface of the sill is protected from chipping, etc. |
